As might be expected, this percussive “drum” song for the late elementary pianist features accents, staccato, legato, and tenuto techniques. It is arranged so that the left hand will play in alternating staccato fifths and sixths against the right hand's melodic material, which will include fingering changes on the same note, scale work, and contrasting touch.
