The text of Ruth Elaine Schram’s unique Lenten anthem is full of vulnerable honesty, and the beautifully conceived original tune is profoundly melodic. There is just the right amount of repetition in the choral writing which will aid in the learning process, and the melodic keyboard accompaniment creates the perfect atmosphere for Lent, especially with the addition of the optional oboe part (included with octavo).
