Description

This regal hymn concertato opens with a majestic antiphonal fanfare between choir and accompaniment. Driving accompaniment figures propel the first verse along and invite the congregation to join. After a middle verse with rich choral writing, the anthem modulates to a final verse for choir and congregation that is crowned by a descant. Larger choirs will enjoy the brass sextet orchestration (available separately) while smaller choirs will enjoy the solo trumpet obbligato (optional, part included).
