Description
Intended for use when students have finished the Music Reading Primer, and requires its companion volume Advanced Reading Rhythms. Helps the now intermediate reader to synthesize notes and rhythms. These tried and true works from a history of string etudes are chosen specifically to help the student learn to read more fluently and accurately. Includes etudes by Wolfahrt, Trott, Cavallini, Mazas, Kreutzer. Unlike most etude books which are all notes and no rhythms, we’ve added in rhythmic, bowing, & articulation variations, and even some shifting and ornamentation. Many keys, many meters, complex rhythms, position work and more. These are meant to be studied at home and played at the lessons.
DIFFICULTY: ranging from easy 1st position through intermediate, and includes some advanced works, lots of position work in later etudes.
