The text for this work is taken from Robert Louis Stevenson's A Child's Garden of Verses. For mixed chorus and piano, the notes indicate that “the setting uses the piano to provide the river's endlessly flowing current, while the voices 'float' along on it, somewhat mysteriously, toward their destination.” Try it as a graduation anthem.
