Pat Liebergen has arranged Ravel’s timeless masterpiece, Pavane pour une infante défunte, for choir, and adapted Ravel’s orchestration for oboe and strings as optional accompaniment. Jean Anne Shafferman has added a Christmas text that is simply stunning: “On a silent, starry night, Christus natus est.” Certain to be the highlight of school seasonal concerts and Christmas worship, it is available in three voicings for singers of all ages.
