Description

A new festival setting of the traditional hymn, sure to add energy and joy to your Palm Sunday celebration. For SATB choir and organ with optional brass quartet and percussion, as well as optional children's choir and congregation.

“As a church organist, I am constantly trying to produce creative introductions and hymn accompaniments that paint the lyrics and enhance congregational worship. One Sunday, I introduced the hymn “Hosanna, Loud Hosanna” by layering the opening motive, which gave the inspiration for many of the ideas in this arrangement. I imagined crowds of people singing in the streets as Jesus made his triumphal entry into Jerusalem. The arrangement incorporates children, some polyphonic moments, festive brass, and a descant to create that scene.”
