Description

Poem by Dana Gioia, written in memory of his infant son, whose brief life was tragically ended by SIDS. “Prayer” may be paired with “Sure on this Shining Night” (HL00229069, SATB). A trio of these Theater songs also works well: “Prayer” followed by “Where Have the Actors Gone” (HL00229253, SATB; HL00119288, SATB Jazz choir), concluding with “Sure on this Shining Night.”
