“In this follow-up to my first book of hymn arrangements, “Eventide,” I found it an enjoyable challenge to keep stretching myself and continue bringing originality and creativity to my piano solo arrangements while keeping a spirit about the music that fits well with the message of the text. To me, the Sabbath provides a much-needed opportunity to refocus and reconnect with the Savior, and to be reminded of my dependence on Him and His unconditional love for me. I think this collection of music is a good representation of that, and I tried to include not only some of the hymns and children’s songs that have been a regular part of my church worship throughout my life, but also some wonderful pieces from other sources that I connected with emotionally and wanted to share, and one original composition as well. What better way to rest from your cares and praise God than through good music!”
